Profile picture

Dhairya Nagpal is currently incubating and leading the UX and Product studio at Damco Group, where he is building the next generation of AI-powered, research-led, and system-driven digital experiences. He holds a gold medal and ranked first in Human-Computer Interaction from Delhi Technological University and has pursued further studies in Data Science and Programming at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Previously, he led Zomato’s logistics cost product charter, driving systemic reforms in India’s gig economy. His experience spans both B2C and B2B environments, across roles in product management, UX research, and strategy at Housing.com, Mobile Premier League, Atom EI, Hike, IIT Delhi, UPES, and Concordia University (Canada). He’s worked across product maturity stages from early 0→1 builds to scaled platforms and across verticals like fintech, gaming, logistics, civic tech, and education.

He has led and published research in UX, market behavior, and consumer psychology through institutes like SPJIMR, Asper School of Business, and ISB. Alongside this, Dhairya has worked on digital marketing and storytelling campaigns with brands like Philips and OnePlus. A consistent academic performer, he has won multiple national-level UX and design hackathons at IIT Guwahati, IIT BHU, and Shiv Nadar University.

Beyond industry, Dhairya is a United Nations Fellow, focusing on the ethics of emerging technologies and public-interest tech policy.

He co-authored “India in Future Tense: 47 Words for 2047”, a forward-looking dictionary of India’s aspirations, and continues to work on AI ethics and inclusion through fellowships such as Aula.

Outside of work, Dhairya is a sculptor and artist with multiple awards and exhibitions to his name. He conducts art workshops at organizations such as Palo Alto Networks & Creencia and runs the Dhairya Nagpal Store (DNS).

In 2021, he founded Specurate, a student-led nonprofit whose debut campaign “Art for COVID” raised funds during India’s lockdown, reaching over 300,000 people.

His interests lie at the intersection of frontier technology and ethical inclusive design—ranging from AR/VR, gesture interfaces, HAI, BCI, eye-tracking, and EMG—to applying AI/ML in HCI for accessible systems.
